If you or a patron have had trouble with Brisingr (as one of our GMLC members did), here's OverDrive's advice:
We were aware of corrupt title and have replaced the source files. The title should download and play without any problems. Can you please ask your patron to delete the title from the OverDrive Media Console, followed by clearing their Temporary Internet Files? We have provided steps to accomplish this.
- In Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Internet Options.
- On the 'General' tab, in the 'Temporary Internet Files' section, click the 'Delete Files' button.
- Check the 'Delete all offline content' checkbox.
- Click 'OK'.
Once these steps have been completed, can you please ask your patron to attempt to download the title?
If you're having trouble with a download seeming like it is skipping parts, playing out of order, etc, be sure to contact us at vtaudiobooks[at]gmail.com. We'll be sure to let OverDrive know, so that they might fix the problem. Anytime you have trouble with a file that seems corrupted, the steps above are good to try -- attempt to delete the corrupted download, and try again. Let us know if you need your downloads reset in the process.
