Public Domain E-Books

Just wanted to let everybody know about the public domain (aka Project Gutenberg) e-book titles that are now live on the Listen Up! site. Please pass the word on to your patrons about these.

Some specifics include:

-15,000 titles

-Patrons do not need to be cardholders to access them (cardholders are not required to sign in)

-If they do choose to sign in, they do not count against their regular/lending options

-They work the same way as the maxim access titles do so they are always available

I have also posted a link to a graphic you can use on your website to promote it. It can be found in the Listen Up Folder on here.

If you have any other questions feel free to send me an email.

Compatible E-book devices

Overdrive has posted a handy cheat-sheet for compatible e-book devices- just in time for the holidays!

You can find the link to it here: http://overdrive.com/files/ebook-cheat-sheet.pdf

One thing to note here is that while the iPad and iPhone are currently not compatible with overdrive e-books, they are working on an app for them, so stay tuned!
