Listen Up! Vermont Receives eBook Grant from VT DOL

The GMLC Board is very pleased to announce that Listen Up! Vermont has received a grant of $10,000 to be used toward the development of the eBook collection. We are very grateful for this generous gift. Your patrons should see an increase in the eBook offerings immediately and, with any luck, a decrease in hold times. We would appreciate hearing any requests patrons may have passed along to you for specific eBook titles. As always, we will strive to maintain a balance of fiction, nonfiction, and children's books across all genres. The Green Mountain Library Consortium (GMLC) is proud to be a part of the SCOOP PURCHASING COOPERATIVE!

Along with New Hampshire Libraries & Members of the Maine Regional Library System, GMLC members will be able to take advantage of discounts and *free* shipping from many vendors for Print & Multimedia Materials, Furniture, Equipment & Library Supplies and Technology Supplies.

All of the details are outlined in the Vendor Discount Catalog and will be effective from July 1, 2012 – June 30, 2015 as long you are an active member in GMLC.  The Vendor Discount Catalog is available online and may be accessed with a login & password by one member of your library staff.

One member of your library must sign the electronic agreement for the conditions of  SCOOP and then that person will receive the url, login & password for SCOOP via the email they’ve given.

Update for Windows Phone

Overdrive is pleased to announce the release of OverDrive® Media Console™ v2.4.2 for Windows® Phone. With this release, users can enjoy “look and feel” changes, bug fixes and performance updates.

The system requirements are still the same. The free app can be installed on phones and devices running Windows Phone 7 .

Users with OverDrive Media Console already installed will be notified that an update is available.
